A Neo is a Celestial/heavenly being that has also been given a power from a Celestial King Candidate.
Powers & Abilities[]
Neos have the powers of both a Power User and a heavenly being, not only giving them a greater deal of versatility, but also enabling them to summon their sacred weapons through their power. A side effect of a heavenly being possessing a power is their sacred weapons being far larger and much more powerful.
History[]
Being notified of the future tournament to decide the the next Celestial King, many heavenly beings sent their children down to Human World so that when the time came, they could be chosen as power users for the tournament. The current Celestial King soon became aware of what was transpiring. However, he also knew that hellions would try to interfere with the tournament. Fearing that humans wouldn't be enough to stop them, he allowed it to continue.
Known Neos & Their Abilities[]
- Kōsuke Ueki - Ueki's sacred weapons manifest through his power to turn trash into trees, causing his sacred weapons to grow out of trees instead of from his body as well as use more than one sacred weapons at a time. His Level Two allows him to reverse the abilities of other power users and nullify them, this effect can be applied to his sacred weapons to disable not just the powers but also the sacred weapons of another Neo.
- Robert Haydn - Robert's sacred weapons manifest through his power to turn ideals into reality, giving Robert the ability to freely alter his sacred weapons in a number of different ways; such as rapid firing (mainly used with Kurogane), homing capabilities (mainly used with Mash), absolute penetration (mainly used with Pick), etc. Robert' Level Two power allows him to produce bubbles which manipulates the gravity of anything they touch, making them heavier (red) or lighter (blue) then before, which can be applied to his sacred weapons to causes anything that comes into contact with them to have their gravity altered.
- Van Decout - Van Decout has the power to animate the inanimate, giving his sacred weapons self-awareness and making their movements unpredictable; such as when his Pick bent around obstacles instead of being restricted to only moving forward. Van never managed to reach Level Two so whatever effect it may have bestowed onto his sacred weapons was never revealed.
- Barrow Eschalot - Barrow has the power to turn past actions into present ones, which he uses in order to summon infinite copies of his sacred weapons but this means that if his opponents were to strike any of his past selves then his present self would also take the damage. Because of this crippling flaw, Barrow was restricted to using only Mash, Kurogane, and Gulliver as they weren't attached to his body and so his past selves wouldn't be left open to counterattack. Barrow never managed to reach Level Two so whatever effect it may have bestowed onto his sacred weapons was never revealed.
- Diegostar - Diegostar has the power to turn objects invisible, which makes all of his sacred weapons transparent and much harder to detect. Diegostar never managed to reach Level Two so whatever effect it may have bestowed onto his sacred weapons was never revealed.
- Kill Norton - Due to being defeated so quickly, Kill Norton is never given the chance to use either his power nor his sacred weapons, leaving both his Level One and Two powers (and their effects on his sacred weapons) unknown.
Trivia[]
- The size of a Neo's sacred weapons can serve as a hindrance, as they can be extremely heavy. Ueki's are so heavy that he cannot hold them up without the help of the trees they grow out of. However, the other Neos do not have this problem, possibly indicating that Ueki's sacred weapons might be more powerful than the others. This is also hinted at when Hanon studies his Ranma during their first encounter.
